Sigh… In other news… shoutout to mama Callahan…. Saw king kong.. it was fairly groovy, I’d give it a 2 thumbs up… some fx were totally lame/super digital.. but other than that.. Naomi watts is a rockin’ screamer…and not bad on the eyes…(don’t worry Lauren, I still pledge my allegiance to you)… Tomorrow I’m having a GILMORE GIRLS marathon w/ the boy, hazza… and then it’s off for Christmas shopping (dave, notice the lack of xmas/dickmas)… So that’s it forks… oh wait, does anyone know if futureshop has groovy sales on dvds during boxing day? |

ODE TO GILDA
What i am going to say now has nothing to do with the current topic. But since this is my common law partner's blog, i feel its okay that i do this. (I love you noa). I am going to start with one word Gilda. Gilda Radner was one of the original cast members of SNL. If you have never heard of her, you should be ashamed of yourself and if you havent seen any of her skits you really havent lived. What brought on this rant is yesterday i aquired the best of Gilda. I have been waiting for this dvd forever (and i know its christmas and i should be shopping for others, but it was the last copy and gilda herself was calling out to me. Stacey please buy me, you need me, your life will be more complete if you have me).
As you can see, she won. Sadly, in the midst of her prime, she died of cancer. Had she not i am sure she would be competing with ellen and roseann bar as the best female comedian ever. Regardless, i still think she is. Her most famous characters are lisa, roseann roseanna danna and barbara wawa. I know this is getting long, but i wanted to share my love of Gilda with all of you. She is funny, sweet and endearing all at the same time. And as my good friend sada would say she is tre fabulous. So if you havent seen her stuff or wanna see more come over to my place when i get home in jan and we will have a gilda night.
P.S Noa i have had this dvd for less than 24 hours and i have seen the skit where she bangs into the wall at least 10 times, so funny.
