whoa!
it's official...
ok... first off, i've been working like a madwoman the last while and not sleeping AT ALL...
i haven't been keeping up w/ my regular movie watching and still have a couple flicks on my list...
NOW, i don't like musicals... (and you can probably guess where this post is going) but i watch them... and i like bits and pieces of them... and i like live shows... and what not... 6 yrs. ago i flipped over moulin rouge... and since then i haven't seen anything that really did it for me..
i watched chicago, rent, and a few other forgettable flicks...
tonight i worked all day, and my main plan was to go home and sleep... or try to at least...
but then we had a promotional screening (meaning you had to be invited to it) of hairspray...
and i was determined to get tickets... i did.. and i called up my buddy julie and off we were...
so while waiting in line to get into the theatre, they did these surveys about the hamilton spec. and the movie.. i won lip gloss (w/ the movie pic on it) and some stickers and tattoos... tre fab!
then we were in the theatre (which was packed) and they did more trivia stuff and i got another question right and i got a little gift package which included the movie soundtrack and more stickers/tattoos/poster and key chain...
(ps. the questions were: where does hairspray take place, what city? and who wrote the original.
answers: baltimore and john waters)
and then we saw the movie... and holy whoa! SUCH AN AMAZING FLICK! i'm totally in love w/ it! and i wanna see it again... amazing soundtrack (listening to it as i type)
my only concern was that amanda bynes was in it.. but seriously... she's fantastic! amazing singing voice, and really funny and likable...
i highly recommend this flick to EVERYONE! i can't wait to see it again!
also, i've been doing fairly well at work and i got some gift cards for futureshop to buy the new garbage release at the end of the month...
so needless to say, today was a super good day!
i am one super tired and wired little bunny running through the woods!
